Weekly Schedule
Something new each Saturday.
Life, the universe and my circumstances permitting.
I'm focusing on 'family stories' at the moment. ("A Change of Pace: Family Stories" (11/23/2024))- Category: Family Stories
But if something else caught and held my interest during the week, that's what I'll share.

Weather, Writing, Daily Entries and Another Change
This will be my 31st daily ‘journal’ entry. I hadn’t been planning on a daily posting schedule. But Sauk Centre’s weather gave me something to write about three days in a row: “The Winter Storm Continues, But Not Here” (January … Continue reading
Sunshine, Snow, and Inauguration Day Looming
It’s a sunny Tuesday afternoon here in Sauk Centre, Minnesota. It’s 8°F outside, -13°C. At that temperature, water is a mineral. Which is normal for this time of year here in central Minnesota. The sun is setting, which again is … Continue reading
The Winter Storm Continues, But Not Here
And now it’s Friday morning. I’ve written, briefly, about the weather and vaguely-related topics for three days now: “A Winter Weather Advisory, Next Morning’s Progress” (January 14, 2021) “A Winter Weather Advisory, Forecasts and Making Sense” (January 13, 2021) The … Continue reading
A Winter Weather Advisory, Next Morning’s Progress
It’s Thursday morning. I wrote about the weather and vaguely-related topics yesterday: “A Winter Weather Advisory, Forecasts and Making Sense” (January 13, 2021) Not surprisingly, the forecast has changed. The “Winter Weather Advisory” is now a “Blizzard Watch,” starting about … Continue reading
A Winter Weather Advisory, Forecasts and Making Sense
It’s Wednesday afternoon as I start writing this. The weather forecast says we’ll likely see rain, freezing rain and snow within the next 12 hours. On the ‘up’ side, the rain — freezing and otherwise — should end before dawn. … Continue reading
