My wife told me a few minutes ago. We have a new pope.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
His name, now, is Leo XIV. I gather that he’s the first Pope who is also an Augustinian, and the second from this side of the Atlantic. He became a Cardinal last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At the moment, I’m — rather excited, actually.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I’ll be learning more about him, and very likely seeing the usual opinions expressed. Maybe I’ll talk about that, maybe not. In any case, Vatican News has a couple potentially-interesting articles:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
